DMV Testing

It is preferred that you use your own motorcycle/3 wheel (must have proof of insurance and current registration). We can offer the use of a motorcycle to perform your test for an additional fee, we do not have the availability of a 3 Wheel. Your motorcycle or 3 wheel will have a visual safety check performed prior to your test.

A valid Colorado driver’s license, and your State of Colorado motorcycle learners permit is required and will be verified before you can take the DMV Riding Test. Prepare to spend 30 minutes for your test to complete paperwork and inspection.

You are required to bring and wear the following gear to take a DMV Riding Test:

• Properly fitted helmet meeting State Standards or DOT approved. If you don't have a helmet we can provide you one.
• Eye protection, regular eyeglasses, sunglasses, goggles, or face shield
• Sturdy, full fingered gloves. Leather gloves are preferred.
• Long sleeved shirt or jacket.
• Sturdy, full length, pants (jeans). No rips or tears, if you show up with torn jeans you cannot take the test.
• Sturdy boots that fully cover the ankle.

Test Fee

The testing fee is $50 on your own motorcycle or 3 Wheel.

$75 fee if you use our motorcycle.

There are only certain dates that the test will be offered. If there is inclement weather your test will be rescheduled. If you do not pass the test you will have to schedule another test date. We cannot retest the same day. You will be required to pay the fee again.
